Newsletter Term 2 Week 7 (10.6.22)
A REMINDER THERE IS NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY 13TH JUNE AS IT IS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY - QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY
ENJOY YOUR LONG WEEKEND!
This Sunday 12th June the Church celebrates the Most Holy Trinity.
Trinity Sunday is the first Sunday after Pentecost to honour the
Holy Trinity—the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Trinity Sunday focuses on the doctrine of the Trinity as the Christian
belief that there is one God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Other ways of referring to the Trinity are Triune God and the Three-in-One.
‘The God of Love and Peace be with you!’
One God, three persons united in a constant flow of love and tenderness! On this feast of the Most Holy Trinity, we are all invited to be drawn deeper into the rhythm of this eternal dance of love.
St Anthony of Padua Feast Day Monday 13th June
St. Anthony of Padua, priest, doctor of the Church born in Lisbon (Portugal) in 1195. Died at Padua (Italy) on June 13 in 1231. He became a teacher of theology and a brilliant popular preacher in southern France and Italy.
Remembered and loved as an inspired preacher, a servant of the poor, and a worker of miracles.
Our St Anthony’s Students’ will celebrate this occasion on the Thursday 16th June beginning with a whole School Mass at 9.00am followed by fun learning activities based around St Anthony.
Year 4: The Eucharist/Holy Communion Retreat Day
Today the Year 4 children celebrated a lovely retreat day together. They were involved in many art and craft activities connected to their learning from their Religious Education Unit: Eucharist: Jesus is with Us. We are very grateful for Elise O'Callaghan the Youth Ministry Officer and the Year 9 ministry students from St Joseph’s College in Banora Point, Sebastian, James, Katie, Makayla, Vrndi who came to help us on the day. We enjoyed pizza for lunch and an ice block for recess. We finished off the day with a lovely prayer service.
