Newsletter Term 3 Week 2 (29.7.22)
Dear Parents
It has been amazing to see the growth of St Anthony’s over the many years I have been here. The playground now has totally transformed into an excellent facility for students to grow and enjoy. The buildings are continually improving to adapt to the educational environment and the number of students is overwhelming. I’m sure the numbers have risen because of the wonderful diverse education the students have received. This school could not have grown without the assistance and involvement of the parents. They have for many years continued to support our school and assist in every way possible. Without this partnership St Anthony’s would not be the school it is today and we thank you.
Week 2 and already so much has happened. This week our school was involved in the Murwillumbah Festival of Art that was ironically held at Tweed Heads due to the flooding. The students performed admirably with outstanding results.

St Anthony's School was awarded Champion School for the day! We have many students going through to the Diocesan Carnival at Coffs Harbour.
On Monday 18 of our students will travel to Ormeau to play in the StreetSmartAFL Queensland Schools Cup.
Tuesday we have 72 of our students representing our school at the Netball Gala Day at Arkinstall Park. I’m sure they will have a great day.

Dear Parent/Caregiver
The ‘Seasons for Growth’ program offers children who have experienced grief, loss or change in their lives the opportunity to talk to other children, of similar age, in a small group about their similar experiences.
‘Seasons’ was initially launched over 20 years ago and there is evidence indicating the program makes a very positive contribution to the social and emotional wellbeing of thousands of children and young people in Australia and overseas.
With the framework ‘Seasons’ provides, children are encouraged to focus on what they can do to make these changes or losses easier to live with. Each group operates with a trained adult companion, during school hours, on a weekly basis for about ten weeks.
St Anthony’s is very pleased to be able to offer this program again in our school and will commence in week 7. If you feel your child would benefit from ‘Seasons’ please complete the attached return slip.
Yours sincerely
Lynne Pull
