Verse Speaking is such a team event. Students have been practising hard so as to give a polished performance next week. Parents are welcome to watch.
Edson Mahleka (Yr 3) and his family will be going to Zimbabwe in a couple of weeks. They would like to take some balls over for children there to play with as balls are few and far between. If you have some balls at home that students no longer play with, please bring them in next week on Tuesday. The family are quite happy to take used balls (soccer, footy etc) however if your family would like to donate a new one it will be gratefully received. Let’s give the family a problem! Thanks in advance for your support.
Please remember the students who are currently preparing for their First Holy Communion and keep them in your prayers. Please also pray for our families who have recently lost a loved one who are struggling with illness. Life is tough for so many these days.
It’s a big thing to do a little thing well.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
Lynne

Sports News
Polding Hockey
Congratulations to Dash Campbell of Year 5 who has just spent a week in Tamworth representing the 2023 boys Polding Hockey Team. By all reports he had an exceptional tournament and displayed excellent sportsmanship.
Dash was named a ‘floater’ of the team which means he had to play and learn a number of positions throughout the tournament. Not an easy task for a player who has only played the striker position, great job Dash!
He was also rewarded with the ‘coaches award’ at the end of the tournament. Good luck Dash with your future hockey career.
NSWCPS Cross Country
Good luck to Gemma Rogers who will be travelling to Sydney next Tuesday to compete in the NSWCPS cross country. We are looking forward to hearing how you go!

All other students will compete in non-competitive Long Jump at the carnival to gain house points.
If your child is in Year 2 and will be turning 7 this year, they can still participate in the Long Jump trials during PE lessons BUT they are not eligible to participate in the Long Jump at the Athletics Carnival.
