    Tell them from me survey

As part of our focus on school effectiveness, St Anthony’s, Kingscliff, will be participating in an online survey for students, staff and families – Tell Them From Me® (TTFM®). The survey will provide us with valuable feedback on what our teachers, students and their parents think about school life, celebrate what is working well and identify areas that need work. Schools in Australia and around the world use the Tell Them From Me survey to help them improve.

Here is a link to the Parent survey: tellthemfromme.com/sta2023

    Please allow 10-15mins to complete.

Participation in the survey is entirely voluntary, but we would appreciate as many families as possible giving feedback. The more feedback we are given, the better we are able to understand what we're doing well and what we need to work on to create an even better school.

Thank you for your participation and ongoing support of St Anthony's School.

    Mother’s Day
As you are well aware, next Sunday is Mother’s Day. We will be celebrating the wonderful women in our lives in our Assembly next Friday, led by our Kindergarten students. We would love as many mums there. There will be a coffee van at school from 8am. All mothers, grandmothers, aunts and mother figures are very welcome.

    Sacrament of Baptism

A very special congratulations to Milla, Max and Charlie Kovacevic who made their Sacrament of Baptism last Sunday at St Anthony’s. The children have been busy preparing with the wonderful Mrs Reynolds and said they now feel really connected to the St Anthony’s community. We are thrilled for the three of you. A huge thank you to Mrs Reynolds for her guidance and preparation with the children for this important Sacrament.

We have a number of children about to start Baptism preparation for Term 2. If you would like for your child to receive the Sacrament of Baptism, initiating them to the Catholic faith, and your child has a Catholic, Baptised Parent, please contact Gemma Ballantine  gemma.ballantine@lism.catholic.edu.au and we will add your child to the group.

    First Communion

The Year 4 students have commenced their preparation for the Sacrament of Eucharist. The family workshop for this Sacrament is Wednesday, May 10, at 6pm. Important information will be given to families at this workshop, so please ensure you and your child attend.

    Didjeribone

On Monday morning the whole school will participate in a Didgeribone performance. Didjeribone is a uniquely Australian music experience accompanied by both personal and ancestral stories. Tjupurru greets and responds to questions in the language of his ancestors, the Djabera Djabera people from the Kimberly region of WA. The cost for this performance is covered by the activity levy.

    Safety Issues

Please DO NOT drop your children off in the Church car park of a morning and then think it is OK to make a right hand turn in front of the buses. There is little to no visibilty at these time. We have had some near misses again this week. Please be respectful of this request in the interest of safety for all.
Please note that children playing on the adventure playground after school hours must be supervised by parents as this is not the responsibility of school staff.
    Thank you
